Summary:
A spicy small-town romance and TikTok phenomenon, perfect for fans of Hannah Grace and Stephanie Archer.
When Jeanie’s aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Café in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie jumps at the chance for a fresh start away from her dull desk job. Logan, a local farmer, avoids town gossip at all costs—until Jeanie’s arrival disrupts his routine. Grumpy yet gorgeous, Logan wants nothing to do with her… except he can’t seem to stay away.
Will Jeanie’s sunshine attitude win him over, or will small-town life prove too complicated for this city girl?
With a cozy autumnal vibe, a grumpy x sunshine dynamic, found family, and plenty of pumpkin spice lattes, this book promises a Hallmark-style romance with a happily ever after.
Review:
I actually listened to the German audiobook version, which fun fact, is titled Meet Me in Autumn—not in German, but still in English. Strange choice, but it gave me a laugh!
I’m rating this 3 stars, mostly because this isn’t my usual genre and I stepped outside my comfort zone to give it a try. The writing is strong (as was the German translation), but the story leaned a little too cliché for my taste—the “big city girl falls for small-town farmer boy” setup is just not usually my thing.
That said, I did enjoy the characters, and the supporting cast was surprisingly memorable. The mystery elements were fun but resolved a little too neatly for me. The spice was well written, though personally not my cup of tea (or coffee, in this case 😉).
For romance fans, though, I think this one really delivers. If you love Hallmark movies, cozy autumn settings, and small-town charm mixed with a little steam, you’ll probably have a great time with The Pumpkin Spice Café.
