March 2021, right in the middle of Covid, we snagged a quick two-night getaway at Pines Resort in Bass Lake…and honestly, it might be one of the best mini vacations we’ve ever taken. We stayed in one of the adorable little chalets with a lake view, and wow…magical doesn’t even begin to cover it.
The place was spotless and felt totally safe for Covid, which made relaxing even easier. We grabbed takeout from Ducey’s and cozied up by our own fireplace—nothing like eating dinner in your pajamas with that view. Having a kitchen in our chalet made breakfast a breeze, and the scenery? Absolutely stunning. On our last morning, we woke up to a snow-covered wonderland—it was like stepping into a postcard. ❄️
We’re already plotting our return trip so we can stay longer and finally check out nearby Yosemite. If you need a dreamy, low-key escape with all the cozy vibes, this place is it.
